Civic Contractors Limited was incorporated in 1987; it is a customer orientated enterprise that contracts to provide efficient & effective services to Local Bodies, Regional Councils & Property Trusts.
The range of services that the company currently provides is focused on Facilities Maintenance & Care of Streetscape Environments.
We are a process driven enterprise. Management recognises five processes as drivers of company objectives which are embedded in our Business Improvement Plan. Those five processes are:-

Associate Companies
We have a sister company, Civic Contractors Bay of Plenty Limited, that carries out similar work types in Tauranga City & Whakatane District with whom we exchange ideas, methodologies & innovations with on a regular basis. The company is led by Ian Gunton who along with his team also carries out horticultural work to beautify down town Tauranga.
The directors of Civic have financial & management interests in Hayden’s Harbour Clean, a small company that was incorporated in 2001 to provide harbour cleaning services to the Waitemata Harbour Clean Up Trust.
The company is led by Hayden Smith, a young Auckland man with a passion for keeping the ocean waste-free. Hayden’s involvement & commitment have taken him as far afield as the Northern Pacific to view firsthand the massive soup-like garbage patch (known as a Gyre) to where ocean currents have transported massive amounts of solid waste to create what is a huge waste phenomenon.
