Sponsorship and Community Support
Civic support a limited number of selected charities through the provision of donations or sponsorship.
In 2009 Civic committed to full sponsorship of the Waste Management for the Farmers Santa Parade. This sponsorship will be provided through the tenure of Civic’s Streetscape Cleaning Contract with Auckland City.
Attracting crowds upwards of 250,000 the event generates many tonnes of litter which is quickly removed by a combination of Road Sweepers, Compact Cabin Sweepers and staff on foot equipped with blowers, brooms and scoops. The value of this sponsorship is estimated at $18,000 – funding which is now able to be retained for use by the Auckland Children’s Christmas Parade Trust
